Webinar on Post-Supercommittee Advocacy

On Tuesday, Nov 20th, DHN held a Webinar. The details are below and a recording of the webinar may be found: here. Slides will follow soon.

The deal to raise the debt ceiling charged a special bipartisan committee of 12 members of Congress (also called “the Supercommittee”) with finding $1.2 trillion in federal savings by November 23rd, the day before Thanksgiving. We will gather witnesses from the faith community and other experts and report back to you. You’ll find out:
What happened?
What does it mean for programs that protect impoverished and vulnerable people?
What’s next? And what can I do?
